Samsung plans to shift 374 million handsets in 2012. That's a 15% increase on this year's sales.
2011 has already been a great year for Samsung from market image to market share. In shipments it left Apple behind in its dust in Q3 of 2011.
Now the next target for the world number two handset manufacturer is to beat Nokia.
Out of this 374 million Samsung clarifies 150 million will be smartphone sales. Whereas Nokia who has recently launched its Lumia 800 and has seen a positive response from the market is expecting a 5% increase in its sales in the coming year.
Samsung’s strategy so far had something for everyone. Samsung provides a range of handsets based on three operating systems: Bada, Android and Windows.
On the whole it will be interesting to see who wins the race, Samsung or Nokia?
