Acer unravels its second tablet A700 ahead of the CES event in January.
We heard about the Acer A200 – a 10.1-inch tablet with a WXGA resolution of 1280x800 pixels and powerful Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor alongside a ULP GeForce graphics engine – quite some time ago.
Launched with the Honeycomb OS, the Acer A200 is expected to receive the update to Android 4.0 sometime in 2012.
If Acer 200 is not enough, Acer's second stunning device – the A700 – will definitely whet your appetite with its quad-core CPU and sleek styling.
Packed inside its slim chassis is a 5-megapixel primary camera with LED flash, touchscreen display with 1920x1200 resolution and a screen rotation lock button.
The device also supports several ports for HDMI, SIM and micro USB slots. A battery life of 10 hours and an Android 4.0 upgrade sometime in 2012.
The Acer A200 is reported to see a global launch following CES. We don't have much information right now on the launch of A700, however, or whether it will ship with Android 4.0 straight away.
We do peg the arrival of the tablets on Indian shores by the first quarter of this year, though. Alhough there's no word on pricing as yet. Expect to here lots more about these slates once CES 2012 is underway.
