Sony Ericsson will be unveiling something 'big' at next week's CES 2012.
The company has been teasing its fans on Facebook with 'just a few more days until we can reveal some interesting news – what do you want it to be?'
Just above the teaser is a partial image of a smartphone. The company's Google+ page is also hinting that 'something big is coming! stay tuned for some exciting news next week.'
No doubt the 'Something Big' is either the Sony Ericsson Nozomi and the the Sony Ericsson Nyphon – or possibly both.
Here's a break down of what we know so far about the handsets:
Sony Ericsson Nozomi aka Xperia Arc HD
The Nozomi uses a whopping 4.3-inch HD LCD screen with a resolution of 1280x720 and has a impressive 12-megapixel camera with Full HD video capture.
Powered by a 1.5 GHz Scorpion CPU and an Adreno GPU, the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operated smartphone also houses 1GB of RAM, 16GB /32 GB of onboard storage and a large 1750mAh battery - making this beast a tough contender to beat.
Last year we saw the company unveil its flagship model, Arc and we are hoping that Sony Ericsson keeps up with the tradition- revealing the stunning successor, Nozomi this year.
The Nyphon
The Sony Nyphon is the rumoured to be the first Xperia phone that Sony will release as a independent brand.
The beautifully crafted smartphone will come equipped with a 4-inch display and an 8-megapixel Exmor R rear-facing camera with a backlit sensor.
Powered by a 1GHz dual-core U8500 chipset built by ST-Ericsson and Android 2.3 OS (with possibility for Android 4.0 update later), the Sony Nyphon is definitely a contender to watch out for this year.
We will be bringing you all the juicy details and major announcements from the event, so station yourself at KYM site from January 10-13.
