RIM has reportedly canned its QNX-powered BlackBerry Milan.
According to the rumours, the cancellation comes in light of hardware issues encountered with BlackBerry Milan.
Earlier a BlackBerry insider had told BGR, 'the reason why BlackBerry is pushing the launch of Milan is because they don't have a working device yet and not because of processors.
As far as OS BlackBerry 10 is concerned it is not as good as iOS 1.0.'
This statement was vehemently refuted by the RIM's CEO's claiming that the delay was due to the Qualcomm LTE processors.
According to n4bb.com sources BlackBerry Milan has been canned because of hardware issues. Powered by QNX-based operating software BlackBerry Milan was rumoured to sport a 4.2-inch screen.
Featuring a slider and qwerty form factor the device was seen as the last hope for RIM's survival within the smartphone market.
BlackBerry Milan's extinction news also casts doubts over BlackBerry London, another device based on BlackBerry 10 OS.
With news of Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis to be stripped of their chairmen roles, looks like RIM shareholders have a lot to worry about in the coming year.
