Microsoft’s latest update fixes many bugs and security issues that plagued WP devices

Microsoft has released a new update for its Windows Phone operating system with the aim to fix issues plaguing its latest devices.
The update 7.10.8107.79, which has already begun to roll out, reportedly takes care of the problem of the disappearing keyboard. Of late, the keyboard on various WP devices has been disappearing from the main screen.
Another issue that the update will fix is one of location privacy. Many WP handsets have been sending excessive location data to Microsoft vis-a-vis nearby Wi-Fi access points and cell towers. The update will take care of this problem and even beef up encryptions on the phones.
The update will also solve issues of voice mail notifications, Gmail sync and mail on the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003. While replying to or forwarding emails, users will now be able to include the original message, something they were having problems doing earlier.
One issue that the update will not be able to fix, however, is the one that causes the Messaging Hub to shut down. Hopefully, a solution to this problem will be out soon as well.
GSMarena found that Plaffo, an Italian Windows Phone website, had confirmed that the roll out of the update had begun, but its complete schedule is yet unknown. As is usual, users need to keep an eye out of an update notification on their handsets.
Microsoft was just beginning to gain a firm footing in the smartphone market, with Nokia by its side, when software issues started plaguing its customers. Hopefully, with this update, Microsoft will get back to building a smart and sophisticated operating system for its devices.
