Lumia 800 ad donning Jet Airways plane

As part of the aggressive marketing strategy for its newest handsets, Nokia has taken the Lumia 800 ad campaign to the skies by painting advertisements on Jet Airways passenger planes.

The Lumia 800 is Nokia’s latest high-end smartphone and the best platform yet for the Windows Phone operating system. Nokia is hoping to catch the attention of potential customers with its unique advertising style and Jet Airways seems to be the perfect place to begin.

Not only will Nokia find its target audience aboard or around a Jet Airways flight, the very act of painting an ad on a plane has put Nokia in the news. With an investment this big, people believe Nokia’s product is bound to be sound. 

The ad itself is bright and vibrant, showcasing the Windows Phone OS along with Nokia’s device. Of course, it carries the Lumia colour scheme, surrounding the planes’ windows with purple, green, blue, pink and orange. Though it doesn’t go into too much detail, the Lumia 800 plane ad is nevertheless eye catching and excites the public’s curiosity.

Nokia is well on its way to building a name for itself as a smartphone maker to reckon with. Backed by Microsoft, it is all set to bite into the market share held by competitors like Google, Samsung and Apple. Ad campaigns like this one might just be able to put it on the top rung of the ladder, especially if Nokia thinks of taking it international.
