Lenovo has unveiled IdeaTab S2 10 tablet and S2 smartphone at CES 2012.

However, Lenovo's Android Ice Cream Sandwich-powered IdeaTab S2 10 tablet has certainly garnered more attention thus far.

Sporting a 10.1-inch screen, the device packs in a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8960 dual core CPU under its hood, laced with Lenovo's own Mondrian UI. At just 8.7mm thickness, the tablet hosts a 10-hours of battery backup, 1GB RAM and 64GB of storage within its slim built.

Strapped at the back of the tablet is a 8-megapixel camera, while sitting pretty on the front is a 1.3-megapixel camera.

The tablet also stakes a claim at the world’s lightest 10-inch tablet at 1.1 pounds, toppling Toshiba Excite X10 at 1.2 pounds.

Bearing similar tablet and keyboard setup, Lenovo's IdeaTab S2 posses to give stiff competition to Asus's Eee Pad Transformer Prime.

Sadly the Lenovo IdeaTab S2 is reserved for China launch, but we are crossing our fingers to see the device make an entry on the India shores soon.

The company also launched a Android 2.3 device, coupled with the Mondrian UI, dubbed the Lenovo S2.

The smartphone sports a impressive 8-megapixel camera, which is becoming the norm for high-end cameras along with a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera.

The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2 GHz dual core processor and will bring a unique encrypted kernel that assures protection of your data and network from malware and phishing sites.

There is no word on pricing for Lenovo IdeaTab S2 10 tablet and S2 smartphone.
