7-inch Samsung Galaxy Plus tablet arrives in India for Rs 26,499

Samsung's 7-inch Galaxy Plus tablet is now officially available to buy in India for Rs. 26499.

The 7-inch tablet boasts of 1024x600pixels screen resolution and a powerful 1.2 GHz dual-core processor.

Running on Android Honeycomb operating system and Samsung's proprietary Touch Wiz user interface, the Samsung Galaxy Plus tablet comes pre-loaded with apps like Readers Hub, Music Hub and Social Hub.

The tablet also houses the most recent graphic chip- Mali 400 which was earlier used in Samsung Galaxy SII.

The device offers 1GB RAM and includes 16GB in- built memory which can be further expanded to 32GB through micro SD slot.

A 3.15-megapixel camera rests at the back of the device while a 2-megapixel adorns the front. The tablet provides ample number of connectivity options through Wi-Fi, EDGE, accelerometer, gyroscopic sensor, GPS and 3G.

Packing in a 4000 mAh battery, the tablet assures up to 20 hours of talktime.

One of the major drawback of the device is its price. With several 10.1 inch tablets retailing for Rs 30,000, Samsung Galaxy Plus may find very few takers.
