ASUS has unveiled TF700T, a new and improved model of the Transformer Prime. The new tablet sports significant improvement in its features.

The first noticeable change in the Transformer Prime tablet is the display. The 1280x800 pixels resolution has been replaced by an even more beautiful resolution of 1920x1200 pixels.

The original 1.3MP front facing camera of the machine has also been upgraded to a 2MP shooter on the TF700T. Video calling and web chatting on the Transformer Prime just got even better.

Even the Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity have been improved on the new tablet. According to Android Community, both the range and the quality of the connections have gone up a few notches.

All other features of the TF700T are the same as the ones on the original Transformer Prime, including the quad-core processor, keyboard dock and RAM. The new tablet does offer Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box though.

ASUS’s new tablet is a higher-end version of the Transformer Prime and is being marketed as the perfect device for those who desire an even brighter, clearer display screen. The company is hoping that the two models together will establish it as a major manufacturer of smart and sophisticated devices.

The new tablet’s 32GB model will retail for $599 (approx. Rs. 30,000) and its 64GB model will go for $699 (approx. Rs. 35,000). The exact release date of these models is not known yet, but they will most likely hit the retail market in the Q2 of this year.
