
CES 2012: New Huawei MediaPad tablets to come pre-loaded with Android 4.0

The newer models of Huawei MediaPad tablets to ship with Android 4.0.
Launched in June 2011, Huawei's MediaPad became the world’s first 7-inch tablet to come preloaded with Android 3.2 operating system.
At CES 2012, the Chinese company applied similar strategy and announced the arrival of the newer MediaPad tablets with Android 4.0.
This makes Huawei MediaPad one of the world’s first tablets to ship with Google's latest iteration. The new version will provide users with a unique experience and access to the latest services and apps.
The MediaPad with Android 4.0 will be available in the first quarter of 2012 in selected markets while the existing MediaPad models will receive the upgrade via OTA by the first quarter of 2012.

Priced at Rs 28,359, the 7" tablet features 1.2GHz Qualcomm dual core processor and is powered by Android 3.2 operating system. The tablet supports a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.3-megapixel front camera with auto-focus and HD video recording support.
Aimed to cater the social-networking needs of the users, the tablet comes integrated with Facebook, Twitter, Documents to Go among a slew of other handy apps.
The device houses a 4100 mAh battery and 16GB internal memory, which can be expanded to 32GB using a miroSD card. To support browsing, connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi and HSPA+ (14.4Mbps).
