Liquipel technology can now be used to prevent your smartphones from water damage.

At CES 2012, Liquipel demoed this revolutionary technology that applies a waterproof coating to devices. Invisible to the naked eye, the undetectable coating protects both the external and internal components of the device. It however does not interfere with either the look, feel or the performance of the device.

Priced at just $59 (Rs 2950) the coating needs to be applied only once, no later than the second day of receiving the device.

Phonearena
reports that, 'for $10 extra, the coating can be sprayed within 2 hours after your phone is received. For $79, the spray and a transparent super-thin coating called Gadget Film will be applied directly to the surface which protects your smartphone from scratches.'

The following devices are approved to be Liquipelled:

Apple iPhone 4s
Apple iPhone 4
Apple iPhone 3g/s
HTC Evo 4G
HTC Evo Shift 4G
HTC MyTouch 4G
HTC Thunderbolt
Motorola Droid X/X2
Samsung Charge
