Battery-fix update for Nokia Lumia 800 rolls out today

Nokia has rolled out its second update to its first Windows powered Lumia 800.

The latest update version 1600.2483.8106.11500 which rolls out today, will improve battery performance and WiFi connectivity.

The update will not be rolled out to all the Lumia 800 devices at once but will be spread over the next two weeks.

Nokia India's official Facebook page confirmed the news today.

It said: 'we are excited to announce that starting today and rolling out over the next two weeks we will be releasing the second software update for the Lumia 800. After already setting the pace for smartphones in 2011 we wanted to start 2012 as we mean to go on, by enhancing performance and usability. With enhanced battery life and greater Wi-Fi connectivity this update will allow you to get even more out of your Lumia 800.'

Nokia rolled out its first update in December shortly after the launch of the smartphone. The update improved audio, voicemail notification and display on cards.

Just like earlier, the new update will be delievered via Zune PC app.
