Galaxy S III to arrive in April with quad-core processor and 12-megapixel camera

The specs and release date of the unannounced Samsung Galaxy S III have leaked online. And boy are we impressed.

Samsung's next flagship model is rumored to house a super-powerful quad-core CPU clocking in a 1.5-1.6 GHz, a 12 megapixel camera and a HD resolution screen.

As expected the Android smartphone will run on Google's latest Android 4.0 operating system.

The rumored specs emerged courtesy to the Russian tech blogger Eldar Murtazin who claimed via twitter to have played with the Samsung's upcoming powerhouse. 

According to Phonearena, Murtazin also hinted at the Galaxy S III launch at Mobile World Congress next month.

He said: 'HD resolution, 12 mpx camera, sw tweaks, android 4 - i like my new phone. Eager to see official announcement in Barcelona'.

That was not the only thing that had everybody excited. The blogger also made the jaw-dropping announcement that the device will hit the shelves in April, following its launch at MWC.

The timeline is in sync with its predecessor, Galaxy S II which was announced at the MWC last year and launched in April.

While the details are in sync with what we would have expected from Samsung's flagship model, the lack of authentic sources and Murtazin's record of hit and miss considered, it is better to take the details with a pinch of salt.

Samsung Galaxy S III will be pitted against Nokia Lumia 900 and Apple iPhone 5. However if the rumored specs are true, Samsung Galalxy S III will leave it competitors in the dust.
