The highly anticipated Tegra 3 powered ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime will arrive in India next month.

An Asus company spokesperson confirmed to Know Your Mobile India that the quad-core tablet is indeed heading to the Indian shores next month.

While the spokesperson did not disclose a specific date, he said, 'we are planning to launch it anytime in the month of February.'

There are no details on the prices either, but going by the specifications we peg the price between Rs 30,000 - Rs 35,000.

ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime will be seen sporting a 10.1-inch screen with 1280x800 resolution. One of the first tablets to house the  NVIDIA’s new quad-core Tegra 3 chipset,  Transformer Prime is the ultimate powerhouse. The sleek tablet at 8.3mm comes equipped with a  8-mega pixel primary and a 1.3-mega pixel secondary camera.

Packing in other goodies like a 1GB RAM, the tablet comes in 32GB  and 64GB variants.

Asus surprised everybody when it announced the Android 4.0 update for Transformer prime on January 12, 2012. The OS aimed to bring re-sizable widgets, improve responsiveness and a revamped address book.

However several Transformer Prime users who tried to do the update were unable to do so owing to a bug in the machine. The bug prevented the update to recognize the serial number on the machine, rendering it impossible to download the update.

With an Android 4.0 in pipeline and a impressive list of specifications, loos like Asus Transformer Prime will stride ahead of competition.
