Notion Ink justifies its decision to opt for TI OMAP for Adam II instead of Tegra 3

Notion Ink gives detailed justification on its decision to opt for Texas Instrument’s OMAP processor for Adam II.
The Adam II unlike the first Notion Ink tablet has seen a switch in processor from Nvidia to Texas Instrument’s OMAP.
Considering these concerns Notion Ink blog recently explained its view behind the shift.
It stated that how Tegra quad-core are made up of 40nm fabrication process while the new OMAP 5chips are built using 28nm process.
This proportionates itself to the fact that TI chips are cheaper to produce and sell to possible manufacturers; they also consume less power.
TI OMAP chips add to the better battery life, which acts as one of the deciding factors while buying a tablet.
Even though there is still no word about its launch, Adam II is expected to hit the markets this year.
