IT in the Toilet study has unveiled that Droid users are more likely to use their smartphones in the bathroom.
This study conducted by the marketing agency 11mark among 1,000 Americans across all age groups, also revealed that the Gen Y respondents are the heaviest IT in the toilet users, at 91 percent.
Nicole Burdette principal at 11mark said: ‘This study confirms what we all know — that the last private place is no longer private. And that the ‘mobile-everywhere’ phenomenon is flushing out a host of new opportunities for savvy communicators’.
The statistical figures in the study really blow your mind off. To begin with in all 75 percent Americans agreed that they use their hand candy in restrooms. While 25 percent admit that they always bring their phones in the bathrooms which means three in every four persons in America is emailing, texting and calling from bathroom.
The study further highlighted that 75 percent BlackBerry users make calls from bathroom as compared to 67 percent of Android users and 60 percent of Apple users.
Texting turned out to be the most popular activity with 67 percent people doing it followed by 38 percent surfing Internet from the restroom.
