Lenovo ThinkPad tablet to get a Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade in Q2

The popular Lenovo ThinkPad tablet is expected to receive the Android 4.0 treatment in the second quarter of 2012

Lenovo has revealed that its popular ThinkPad Tablet will get a Android 4.0 treatment this year.

According to the company the 10.1-inch ThinkPad tablet will get a upgrade by the second quarter of 2012.

Lenovo has so far not given the exact dates for the roll-out, but we hope to hear  about it soon.

Apart from ThinkPad tablet Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade will also be seen in other tablets like Motorola Xoom and Transformer Prime.

Designed for the business users, the highly advanced ThinkPad features a TFT LCD screen with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. A 5-mega pixel primary and a 2-mega pixel secondary camera rests on both sides of the tablet.

Powered by the Honeycomb operating system and a 1 GHz processor, the ThinkPad Tablet brings a host of impressive specs on board.

Available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB variants, ThinkPad offers a powerful 3250-mAh battery life. On the security front, the device offers a very secure email access, encrypted user data among other security measures to protect your information.

The device is also available with an optional keyboard folio, which makes it a perfect on the go machine.
