Apple's iOS platform has more app crashes than Android, claims report.
At least, that's what a recent report from Crittercism has claimed. And the results are rather interesting.
Crash reports were found on 33 Android OSs and 23 iOS operating systems. And that is because Android has a large number of operating systems compared to iOS (including the minor updates for example: Android 2.3.1, Android 4.0.1 etc).
The tests were conducted from December 1 -15 2011.
The survey claims that iOS devices are more prone to crashes than Android devices. The newest version of iOS (5.1) is the culprit with the most number of crashes among iOS operating systems (28.64%).
The report suggests that iOS crashes more than Android. The reason for this is that users tend to refrain from updating apps and OSs and keep apps running in the background (memory issues).
So in general, 75% of crash reports are found in iOS. iOS led the pack even with app crashes when compared to Android. It is said that iOS 5 operating system had a major role to play in the app crashes.
