Nokia Lumia 710 users have been bogged down by a call ending issue present in their smartphones.
On the Nokia support page, several Nokia Lumia 710 users have lodged complaints regarding the call ending issue on their smartphones.
Some users have infact stated that the Windows-powered phone tends to hang after almost each call and is unable to disconnect for about 50 seconds(approx).
Another problem which was identified in the smartphone was the poor battery life. This issue was present in Lumia 800 as well but was rectified by Nokia's recent update.
The Windows powered phone users have also warned that the Nokia care centers have not been of much aid. Several users got their Nokia 710 smartphones back from the Nokia care centers after several days, but without the fix.
Nokia has acknowledged the issue and is reportedly working at finding a fix. According to its recent statement it is apparently close to finding a solution.
The company stated:
'Nokia is continuing to analyze this software issue and is close to a fix. The fix will be made available via Zune as soon as possible. It is difficult to say when. One other important fact about this issue is that the phone modem is responding to the call disconnect signal from the touch display, the call is taken down as it should.'
It added: 'The issue is that the user interface displays the call disconnect button but is should not. Consequently consumer are not being excessively billed for a call that seems to be staying up.'
Meanwhile while some of the frustrated Lumia 710 users are exploring possible solutions, others are looking at bidding adieu to their Windows powered phone.
