Samsung maybe unveiling a spruced up version of the Galaxy Note at the upcoming Mobile World Congress this month.

Dubbed as the Galaxy Note S, the device is expected to come loaded with Google's latest iteration, Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

According to the Dutch mobile news site Mobile Cowboys who allegedly got the news from a company insider, claim that the device will hit the shelves by the second half of this year.

While the site does not reveal any other spec details, according to the chatters over the internet, we hear that a quad core processor maybe a part of the upgraded version. Some suggest a upgraded camera as well, which we quite honestly don't see happening. It's already loaded on the RAM front as well.

In its official statement Samsung had promised us that it be making up for Galaxy S III 'no show' by introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products.

A upgraded version of Galaxy Note  is good, but it doesn't really titillate us one bit. Hopefully we will be hearing about those powerful devices that will get our hearts pounding in the coming days.

Meanwhile watch out for this space and stay tuned to Know Your Mobile India for all the news from the upcoming Mobile World Congress.
