Walk and text with the Transparent Screen app for Android

This app for Android lets you keep your eyes on the phone while walking on the streets or at public places

We all love to text and walk on the streets or just about anywhere. But this often leads to us bumping into random strangers in the streets and facing awkward stares or just hitting a lightpole.
But now a developer has come up with an application which lets you see through the lens of your camera while texting.
It must be noted though that Transparent Screen isn't the first of its kind, with numerous apps in the Android Market that promise similar functions.
But Transparent Screen does not limit the screen transparency to just text messages and works absolutely anywhere in the phone. The app doesn't require root access, which is another major selling point since most such apps listed in the market are ‘root only'.
The app however isn't free from bugs as it is prone to being slow on lower spec'd devices. There are two separate (free and paid) versions of the application available in the market. So you can actually try the free version first before purchasing the full version license.
It's almost impossible these days to walk without using our smartphone and applications like these make life a little easier.
Download the app from the Android Market and see how it goes.
We must warn you again though that the app might not function well with relatively older smartphones.
