Apple's iPad 3 is expected to launch in the first week of March and pack a 9.7-inch IPS Retina Display.
According to reports (and rumors) Apple iPad 3 will carry twice the density of pixels, bringing in stunning picture quality that has never been experienced on previous models.
A graphic representation by Clkoerner (via Macrumors) helps put things in perspective.
It also answers the question that everybody is asking: What does 2048×1536 pixels look like? According to Clkoerner, 'you could watch a full resolution HD movie and still have some space for content.'
The recent report by New York Times also provides a strong evidence of a stunning screen. Speaking with the US-based paper, an anonymous Apple employee said that the device will sport a a ‘truly amazing display’.
He also mentioned the presence of a faster processor and resemblance to iPad 2 in form factor.
