Everything you need to know about Samsung's latest 7-inch, Android 4.0 powered Galaxy Tab 2. The tablet will be launched globally starting next month

Samsung has introduced its first Android Ice Cream Sandwich powered tablet for 2012. Dubbed Galaxy Tab 2, the 7-inch tablet comes with a Android 4.0 onboard.

Offering amazing multimedia experience and enhanced communication tools, the Galaxy Tab 2 brings a more intuitive user interface which includes the ability to swipe-control application. The app gallery has also been overhauled to allow a seamless sharing of content.

Available in 3G and WiFi version, the lightweight device comes with a upgraded Touchwiz user interface for faster and increased performance.

Galaxy Tab 2 users also get a one-stop access to all the Hubs content. What's in the hub? Well everything. Samsung Hub services includes Samsung’s Music Hub which houses over 17 million tracks, a  Readers Hub that provides access to over 2.3 million e-books, 3,500 magazines and over 2,000 newspapers in 51 languages, and a Game Hub for uninterrupted thrilling experience.Oh wait there is also the Video Hub which offers over 1,000 film titles and more.

The amazing multimedia experience is also augmented with Samsung’s AllShare Play, a new content-sharing service that makes its debut. What AllShare Play does is quite cool. You can play or live-stream multimedia content on your tablet from PCs , transfer content to just about another Samsung smart devices or any third-party web storage.

The device also comes with a series of new features. It includes Face Unlock feature, which uses facial recognition software to unlock the device. Another new addition is the S Suggest. This new service offers recommendations catered to your taste.

There is no information on pricing yet, but we hope top get the details rolling out on that front soon. The device will be rolling out globally starting next month. The first stop is UK but we hope India is not far in line.
