Research in Motion is holding an event on March 15, 2012. The company has sent out invites to a select number of people, promising a first-hand look at a new technology.
According to the invitation that Tmonews got its hands on, the event is a ‘sneak preview of BlackBerry’s latest and upcoming technology’.
The invite is simple and classy, with a few words written on a black background. A huge ‘7’ besides the T-mobile and BlackBerry logos suggests that the event may have something to do with an update to the BB 7 OS.
Quite simply the invite reads, ‘What’s Next. Come see what BlackBerry has in store. Mar 15, 2012. You are invited to attend an exclusive event! Get a preview of the latest and greatest T-Mobile BlackBerry technology while enjoying a complimentary breakfast and chances to walk away a winner-only for those who attend!’
Though this is an invitation-only event, even those invited who want to attend need to register with BlackBerry / T-Mobile.
Initially the invite had a number of rumours circulating about the possible unveiling of BlackBerry 10 devices but T-Mobile PR informed Tmonews that this was not the case. They specified that the event is for business-2-business and for BlackBerry and no new products are expected.
