
Fujitsu detachable slate coming in September to rival ASUS and Lenovo

Fujitsu is building a tablet and keyboard combination for release later this year

In a 2012 roadmap, Fujitsu recently revealed its plans for new and improved gadgets. Among other devices, a detachable tablet and keyboard combo stands out.
The Verge got its hands on Fujitsu’s action plan. Though not too many details about the devices being developed by the company were released, it does look like the detachable slate will give some stiff competition to the Eee Pad Transformer and the Lenovo S2. It is yet unknown how powerful Fujitsu’s new offering will be or even what operating system if will run on.
Fujitsu’s press release showcased many other devices in the making as well. The tech major is planning to release 2 new ultra books as early as May 2012. June 2012 will see a ‘Mainstream Android media tablet’ from Fujitsu. In the same month, a ‘Mainstream slimbook for channel’ will also hit stores.
Apart from the ‘New detachable performance slate’, Q3 will see a ‘Stylish ultrathin display’ and a ‘Full range of accessories’ from Fujitsu. This quarter will also be treated to an ‘Enhanced range of global portfolio’ including ‘Lifebook’, ‘Esprimo’ and ‘Displays’.
The fourth quarter of the year will see a ‘New innovative and stylish deskbound family’ from the house of Fujitsu. A ‘Touch PC’, a ‘Thin Client’ and a ‘Zero Client’ will make up a ‘Common all-in-one concept’. A ‘Win8 launch’ is also scheduled for this quarter.
