Samsung’s first qwerty smartphone with dual-SIM, the Galaxy Y Pro Duos will be available online in India from next week.

Targeted towards young professionals, this business-friendly phone combines dual-sim capabilities and a full qwerty keyboard to accelerate efficiency and productivity on the whole.

While poles apart in their built, Galaxy Y Pro Duos does bear some resemblance to its sibling Galaxy Y Duos. They both share the same Android 2.3 OS and a 3-megapixel fixed-focus primary camera along with a common set of pre-loaded apps, multi-media, connectivity and sensor features.

The main difference lies in their display where the sibling Galaxy Y Duos with its 3.14-inch QVGA TFT LCD beats Galaxy Y Pro Duos's  2.6-inch LQVGA TFT LCD display.

Another difference is the presence of a 0.3-megapixel secondary camera on Galaxy Y Pro Duos which is absent on its sibling. A marginal difference is also spotted on the battery front. The Galaxy Y Duos sports a 1,300 mAh battery, while the Galaxy Y Pro Duos packs in a 1,350 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Y Pro Duos unlike its sibling specializes in providing utility apps to enhance performance for its business users. Some of them include Polaris which provides options for easy viewing and editing various Office documents like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files on the go.

Then there is also the Find My Mobile professional tool which ensures safety and protection for your device by giving you the ability to lock your phone remotely at anytime. It also allows you to track the phone as well as remotely wipe its contents in case of theft or loss. Other enterprise solutions like VPN, EAS, Afaria, CCX, storage encryption are also provided.

On the entertainment front the smartphone users can enjoy Social Hub Premium, which offers support for push email and messaging, and seamless calendar and contact synchronization between the phone and your various accounts like Google, Yahoo and MSN. The device also packs in a 160MB user memory and a 2GB inbox microSD which can be further expanded to 32GB.

The Galaxy Y Pro Duos at the moment does not feature the much sought after Android 4.0 OS, however going by the trend it might just be a matter of months.

The highly functional smartphone, further brings down the price bar for indian consumers looking to experience the smartphone features at a budget price.

Samsung Galaxy Y Duos is up for pre-order on LetsBuy for Rs 11,090.
