Nokia could launch a new camera oriented Symbian and Windows Phone device at the MWC
Published on Feb 22, 2012
Nokia has just uploaded a teaser video for an upcoming smartphone. The video seems to focus on something known as Pure View camera which is relatively unknown to us. This hints towards the N8 successor codenamed Nokia 808 we've been hearing a lot about.
The new smartphone is said to be revealed at the MWC next week. Reports have pointed out that Nokia will be launching a Symbian as well as a Windows Phone with a game changing camera.
We believe that this new camera sensor should at least be 12MP (or higher perhaps) to live up to the N8's reputation. With words like Pure Depth, Pure Detail and Pure Definition, Nokia is clearly getting people excited.
Then comes the OS part where the likes of Carla and Donna are prepping for a late or post 2012 launch, which is clear since the Belle OS hasn't really sunk in the market. So the new Symbian warrior could well be running on Nokia Belle.
It seems like Nokia wants people to get excited about the Pure View camera in the week before the formal announcement is supposed to happen. That's a good way to go, but let's just hope that the final product lives up to the hype and expectations. We are still a bit vary on the camera oriented Nokia Windows Phone, since Windows Phone smartphones aren't really camera friendly yet.
