The highly anticipated Android smartphone of the year, Samsung Galaxy S III will be unveiled during early Q3 of 2012.
The specifications of the rumored Galaxy SIII is not the only thing that has been shrouded in mystery. A thick veil of uncertainty also surrounds the launch of this high-end super smartphone.
The latest news via South African carriers peg the arrival of the smartphone sometime in early part of the third quarter.
According to Phoneareana, 'if these summertime hints indicate the global rollout plans, that seems like quite a wait for probably the most anticipated Android handset this year.'
It further stated: 'If the next iPhone is unveiled again in the fall, as recent rumors suggest, and Samsung needs more time to iron out the kinks in its own cloud service, then a summer launch actually makes pretty good sense for the SG SIII.'
The Korean company had earlier revealed that the successor to the Galaxy S II smartphone will be unveiled in a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year. The main aim is to release the device as close to its commercial availability as possible. Keeping this timeline, we can expect to see the launch of Galaxy SIII anywhere between April to May.
Samsung Galaxy S III is rumored to be among the thinnest smartphone in the Galaxy S line up at just 7mm. The Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered device is also expected to sport a 8-mega pixel rear camera and a 2-mega pixel front camera according to the last heard rumors.
