Nokia 5233 touchscreen phone hits stores in India

With its vibrant colours and stunning 3.2 widescreen display, Nokia 5233 is launched as an enhanced version compared to the earlier released Nokia 5230 handset. This device too runs on Symbian S60 OS platform.

The phone features somewhat similar specs to that of 5230 with its responsive touchscreen with tactile feedback. Nokia 5233 boasts of accelerometer for auto-rotate, proximity sensor to save power and prevent inadvertent touches and handwriting recognition.

Equipped with a 2 megapixel camera, Nokia 5233 has GPS, GPRS, Ovi Maps and Bluetooth connectivity. However, the phone does not support 3G or Wi-Fi. The phone offers SMS, MMS and Emails along with the kinetic scrolling interface. The device comes with a microSD memory card slot, with hot swap max up to 16 GB and internal dynamic memory of 70MB.

The device is preloaded with Music, Web and Social networking features. It also supports MP3, MP4, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA formats. It is equipped with 1320mAh battery and offers up to 7 hours of talk time. Users can also enjoy 33 hours of non-stop music with this device.

Available in White/Red, White/Silver and Black/Dark silver, Nokia 5233 is priced at Rs 7,850.
