MWC 2010: Puma, Sagem Wireless unleash Puma Phone
The much-anticipated, uber stylish Puma Phone has now finally been unveiled

Puma, one of the world's leading sportlifestyle companies - in partnership with Sagem Wireless - has unveiled the new trendy touchscreen phone that comes with a custom operating system and a solar panel. Reflecting the DNA of the Puma brand, Puma Phone is engineered to facilitate and encourage an active way of life both digitally and physically.
There are loads of key features to explore for the Puma Phone as the device appears more like a fashion accessory. First of all, the device has an integrated solar cell, with charge indicator. Equipped with a 2.8 inch thumbable touchscreen with 240 x 320 QVGA resolution, Puma Phone offers TFT wide viewing angle display.
However, the high point of Puma Phone is its solar charging feature. The unique feature indicates the talk time minutes or messages users have accrued via utilizing the solar panel or charging option. Users can exchange these minutes for Puma merchandise offered through the access to various Puma services and applications from Puma’s official website.
The smartphone is further integrated with a 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash and x6 zoom. It comes with Bluetooth, photo sharing, VGA video call camera; full screen video playback, with video. Connected with HSPA and W-CDMA/EDGE/GPRS/GSM, Puma Phone features Bluetooth and USB 2.0. It offers a talk time up to 5 hours with 350 hours standby time.

In sync with the company's sports affiliation, Puma Phone comes handy for joggers with its pedometer, GPS tracker and stopwatch feature. It further boasts of GPS, compass, geotagging, routing and mapping apps. Sports lovers can enjoy wide range of music formats with playlist support and FM radio imbedded with this device.
For seamless surfing experience, the phone presents open internet browsing, with WAP Push. It is well-equipped with mobile email client and mobile web mail notification along with instant messaging in the form of MMS and SMS.
Although the pricing details of the Puma Phone is not officially disclosed, but the device is expected to hit the stores through mobile network operators across greater Europe and on Puma online store from April 2010, with international markets following.
