Samsung has officially confirmed the Samsung Galaxy S II at MWC 2011

Although Samsung Galaxy S II has been doing rounds online with leaked images recently, the device has now finally got the official confirmation at the Mobile World Congress 2011. The second edition to Samsung's successful Galaxy S series device, the Galaxy S II boasts of a 4.2-inch Super AMOLED display, 8 megapixel camera with 1080P video capture and version 2.3.1 of Google's Android OS, aka as Gingerbread.The device comes powered by Samsung's own Orion Exynos dual-core chipset, running at 1GHz and will also be equipped with 1GB RAM. The super-slim Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone is expected to be launched in the first quarter of this year.
