Garmin Asus announces plans to foray into the Android smartphone segment with the launch of M10 handset

Garmin Asus has voiced intentions to launch their first smartphone powered by the Android platform. It is the company's first Android device to feature GPS navigation capabilities for India. The phone offers a strong battery life with talktime of about 5 hours. Due to 4G internal built-in storage, the user can download applications twice as fast than other Android devices. With a built-in point of interest (POI) database, M10 offers real time information about public transportation, flight status, movies show times, parking lot availability, gas prices, weather and much more through the 'click and go' function. The smartphone packs a 5megapixel camera with a built-in auto focus feature. It is the world's first Smart3 phone, which underlines the principles of Smart Phone, Smart Navigation and a Smart Lifestyle. With a "First to Fix Time" of 29 seconds, the M10 offers built in features with navigation with Street View function. It is designed with the aim of rendering real time connected services such as Movie listings, CIAO and Panoramio. The M10 mobile phone is available in the price range of Rs. 20,000 - Rs. 22,000 for the Indian consumers.
