HTC to launch HTC Desire Z on January 3?

HTC may launch HTC Desire Z next week as the device is spotted for pre-order on Flipkart with release date mentioned as 3rd Jan 2011

Come 2011 and HTC is all set to go on a launching spree with the introduction of high-end smartphones in the Indian market. Yesterday, we heard the official arrival of HTC HD7, while HTC 7 Mozart surfaced on their official website couple of days back.Earlier, HTC Desire HD was spotted up for pre-order on Flipkart and now the same online retailer has listed HTC Desire Z smartphone on their website. Flipkart is now taking the pre-orders for this device and it mentions the release date to be 3rd Jan 2011.Powered with Android 2.2 Froyo OS, the HTC Desire Z comes equipped with a 3.7 inch WVGA screen display. The device is enabled with GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Bluetooth 2.1 and WAP. It features a unique 'pop hinge' that opens to reveal a QWERTY keyboard for fast, convenient typing. Equipped with social networking tools, the HTC Desire Z features slide-out QWERTY keypad, 1.5GB internal memory with cards slot, 720p HD video recording and a 5 megapixel camera with face detection and automatic flash.The HTC Desire Z is priced at Rs. 25,799 on Flipkart.com for pre-order. It remains to be seen if HTC officially announces the HTC Desire Z on January 3 and will the device be released at the same price point as mentioned on Flipkart.
