Wynncom Telecom Limited has voiced plans to launch India's first QWERTY keypad phone Y-45, after the successful launch of 7 mobile devices in India. The new innovation would make texting possible in Hindi by using a Hindi QWERTY keypad. The Y-45 would thereby eliminate all language barriers for people residing in smaller towns and villages of India. Some of the key features of the phone include 1.3 megapixel camera, e-mail, Video recording and Playback, PC Sync, Bluetooth with A2DP and expandable memory up to 8 GB. With a 1100 mAh battery, the device offers standby time of about 250 hours and talk time of about 7 hours. Besides sporting a Geographic location finder – Saarthi, the phone supports social networking sites such as MSN, Twitter, Facebook, Nimbuzz, Snaptu and Opera Mini. Y-45 offers a dual SIM (GSM+GSM) capacity with a 5.6 cm (2.2) 262 TFT colour screen. The new handset enables the user to send free SMS across Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE and India and includes an inbuilt soft key for 160by2 – Free Mobile Phone Applications provider(Free SMS service provider). “With our mission to offer something new and exciting to our consumers we have devised Y-45 a multimedia series mobile phone for those who are looking for Hindi keypad on a QWERTY phone at affordable price”, said Arvind Vohra, Co-Founder and Managing Director, Wynn Telecom Ltd, during the launch. The simple, new and stylish phone is available for sale at about Rs. 3,395 in India.
