Motorola has launched a new Android focused developer initiative called the App Accelerator Program
Published on Mar 17, 2011
Motorola has launched the App Accelerator Program to aid the development and marketing of new Android apps. Motorola's first Android handset is due to be revealed on the 1st September, with its release into the UK set for October. In order to sign up for the program, developers will have to download an application via the Motorola Development community pages, known more colloquially as the MotoDev network. If the application is a success some of the more interesting benefits afforded to those accepted include: Early access to tech specs of unannounced handsets Early access to tools, documents and development resources Ability to test apps remotely on pre-release handsets For established developers and new Android converts alike, the scheme is designed to “give developers a head start in creating applications that will tap the full power of Android combined with the innovative design and features of Motorola's newest devices”. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, point your browser at the microsite where you can find out more info and apply.
