Nokia India has launched four new mobile phones Nokia 2690, Nokia 1800, Nokia 1616 and Nokia 1280 in the Tamil Nadu and Karnataka market

All these new Nokia phones are entry level devices offered at affordable prices. Initially, Nokia 2690 mobile phone is available for sale and the other three devices will hit the stores in two lakh retail outlets across states by next month."Our four new products launched today not only have relevant innovation in features that address challenges around power, climate and language from a mobile context, but also serve as the first gateway to the Internet for entry segment consumers", Nokia India Regional General Manager (South) TS Sridhar said.The first device in this series Nokia 2690 comes with an 8GB expandable memory card, VGA camera, internet browsing, MP3 player andFM radio with 3.5 mm Audio Visual connector. The device will cost Rs 2,749. The next device Nokia 1800 supports Nokia Life Tools service and up to 22 hours of standby time. The device is further equipped with stereo FM radio, flashlight and multiple phone books. Nokia 1800 phone will be available at an expected price rate of Rs.1800.Nokia 1616 handset features anti-dust keypad and anti-scratch body. Equipped with stereo FM radio with support for a 3.5 mm Audio Visual connector, the phone offers vibration alert mode. The device comes with up to 22 hours of battery standby time.The key features of Nokia 1280 again include dust-resistant property and anti-scratch cover. The phone is preloaded with MP3 ring tones and 3.5mm Audio Visual Connector. It offers flash light and battery durability for 22 days. It will come at a price of Rs. 1300. (via: Hotcurrentnews.com)
