Micromax is soon going to release Android-based Micromax Andro A60 touchscreen phone in India

Micromax has also joined the Android bandwagon with its soon-to-be launched Android 2.1 -powered Micromax Andro A60 smartphone. The Micromax Andro A60 smartphone was showcased at the Micromax Bloggers Meet at Delhi. Similar to recently launched Dell smartphones, Micromax Andro A60 is reportedly a rebranded 'ZTE Penguin' mobile phone. Also, Micromax had earlier partnered with Israel-based Modu to launch Modu T in the Indian market.The Andro A60 smartphone comes equipped with a 3.2 megapixel camera, 2.8 inch full resistive touchscreen, Wi-Fi and GPS. The other key features of this upcoming Android phone include 600 Mhz processor, 150 MB internal memory which can be expanded up to 32GB via memory card and Bluetooth. The 3G-ready device comes with dual-band GSM support and will offer up to 7.2Mbps speeds via HSUPA and up to 5.76 speeds via HSDPA. There is no official word on the pricing of Micromax Andro A60 but the device is speculated to be launched next month around Rs. 8000 mark.
