
Nokia launches C3, C6 and E5 devices

Nokia's new devices come equipped with social networking features, instant messaging, full QWERTY keyboards and provide access to a range of different email accounts.The Nokia C3 is the first for a Series 40 device which comes equipped with Nokia Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat support. Nokia's Ovi services can be utilized by the first time users to set up email and chat accounts directly from the device. Nokia C3 phone features a full QWERTY keyboard that offers instant homescreen access to social networking sites. With this feature, you can view, comment and update your online status and share pictures to favorite social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.The other key features of Nokia C3 include Wi-Fi connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera, 2.4 inch colour screen display and an 8GB memory card support. Offered in golden white, slate grey and hot pink colours, the C3 phone will come at an estimated cost of EUR 90, before taxes and subsidies. It is expected to hit the shelves in the second quarter of 2010. "Our messaging device range is very successful. Services that provide easy access to the world's consumer and corporate email and instant messaging are really popular on our QWERTY smartphones such as the Nokia E71 and Nokia E63. People want the best messaging and social networking experience on an affordable device, whether it's sending a simple text or instant message, an email, or a direct message from their Twitter account. TheNokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5 are made for just that." says Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia's Head of Markets.The next device, Nokia C6 is a Symbian-based smartphone. This device features a 3.2 inch touchscreen display with a full slide out keyboard and a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and flash. This device too supports range of social networking sites, emails and enables access to Facebook feeds directly on the homescreen. Nokia C6 comes preloaded with Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation. The device will cost around EUR 220 and it will be available in the second quarter of 2010.The third device in the launch series is a new Eseries phone, Nokia E5. Nokia E5 is again a Symbian device that, suited for the business needs. It comes equipped with social networking and email features. Nokia E5 offers direct access to over 90 percent of the world's corporate email through Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler. The device is expected to be released in the third quarter of 2010 at an estimated price tag of EUR 180, before taxes and subsidies.
