Samsung today launched its first Android powered mobile phone, the I7500. It' going to be available across Europe in June but details are still sketchy as to when it might reach Indian shores

Korean telecom super power Samsung today launched the I7500 phone, its first mobile phone powered by Google's new Android operating system. This launch makes Samsung the first of the big three telecom manufacturers in the world to use Google's Android technology. The I7500 features 3.2 inch AMOLED full touch screen with a five megapixel camera. It comes with an onboard memory of 8GB that is up to 32GB. Loaded with a healthy 7.2 Mbps HSDPA as well as Wi-Fi connectivity, the 17500 enables users to access various popular Google services like Google Search, Google Maps, GMail and Youtube. The Samsung I7500 also has integrated GPS functionality allows you to use Google Maps features, such as My Location, Google Latitude, Street View, local search and also detailed route description. All this is packed into a hand set just 11.9mm thick.The Samsung I7500 will hit the shelves of major European markets from June, 2009 onwards, but there's no news right now about when this lush handset might reach India.
