
Samsung unveils Wave 525, 533, 723 and Omnia 652 in India

Samsung has launched three new Wave series devices along with Samsung Omnia 652 in India

Samsung has extended its successful Wave portfolio with the official confirmation of three new mid-end devices within this series in the Indian market. The company has announced bada-powered Samsung Wave 525, Samsung Wave 533 and Samsung Wave 723. Also, a new Windows-based Samsung Omnia 652 has now been introduced into the Indian market. The new Samsung Wave series devices come GPS-enabled and share somewhat similar features such as a 3.2 inch WQVGA TFT screen, a 3.2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, TouchWiz 3.0 UI, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, and FM radio. The Samsung Wave 533 is a little different of the lot as the device packs a QWERTY keypad and a 5 megapixel camera.As reported earlier, Samsung Wave 723 is the cream of the crop with some better features offered with this device. The Wave 723 sports a metallic back cover and comes with a a 3.2-inch TFT LCD screen display. The key features of this device include 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, Social Hub, Samsung Apps support, Bluetooth 3.0, microSD card slot, flip leather cover, Wi-Fi 802.11n and a dedicated camera button. Samsung has also introduced Samsung Omnia 652 Windows mobile in India. Powered by Windows Mobile 6.5 OS, the smartphone comes preloaded with Microsoft Office 2010. The device features QWERTY keypad, 3G support, 2.4 inch display, a 2 megapixel camera, IE 6, Sound Alive, social networking apps, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, GPS and 1500mAh battery power. Samsung Wave 525 and Samsung Wave 533 are available at a price of Rs. 8,800 and Rs. 9,900, respectively. Samsung Wave 723 is priced at Rs. 13,500 in India, while Samsung Omnia 652 will go on sale at Rs. 10,600 in the Indian market.
