Published on Mar 17, 2011

Modu T is reportedly the lightest and smallest touchscreen phone in the world. The phone is smaller than a credit card and comes in 2 versions: 3.5G and 2.75G. Its small 1.3 inch screen bids goodbye to the big-is-beautiful paradigm associated with touchscreen devices.Modu T comes with only basic, built-in applications and content to the user. You need to use 'extra jackets' to enhance its features, but you need to spend more to use these 'extra jackets'. The users would possess the ability to use the mini phone as a music player, photo frame and digital camera by using jackets that work well with the PC. Specification wise, the tiny device measures just 72.1mm (H) x 37.6mm (W) x 7.8mm (D). The handset packs 2GB of on-board memory, Bluetooth and an MP3 player. The user interface is widget-based with camera, sports and fashion cases upgrading the functionality of the phone.Modu T is yet to be launched in the UK but its little sibling, Modu 1 is expected to be available in the UK market very soon. The phone is already launched in Israel and will be sold in Philippines by this August.Modu 1 is modular, meaning it slots into specifically designed add-ons to deliver unique functionality. The Modu 1 photo frame turns the phone into a desktop digital phone frame and the device allows the user to take handsfree calls by using the phone’s keypad as a remote control.Modu T will be approximately priced at about £130 in the UK market.
