'Micromax' is the second fastest rising search term on Google India

The recent data released by the Google Zeitgeist 2010 list 'Micromax' at the second spot for the fastest rising search terms on Google India

While the IRCTC (railway ticket booking) continues to top the charts of the year-on-year fastest rising bracket, one of the newer interesting entry this year is the low cost smartphone maker Micromax Mobiles. Although Micromax Mobile has earned this second position, beating the global giants, as being the fastest rising term on Google India, there seems to be hardly any desi competitor on board, namely Spice, Zen Mobiles, Maxx or Videocon Mobiles to give it a serious competion. The other fastest rising search terms included fifa, facebook, cricket live score, twitter, way2sms, samsung mobile and zedge. There's a good news for the growing Indian mobile phone market as well. Surprisingly, the most popular brands searched on Google is again dominated by mobile phone manufacturers and mobile operators. While Nokia tops the list followed by Samsung and Airtel, the other popular searched brands include Micromax, Dell, Vodafone, Apple, Sony Ericsson and HP.You can check out the complete list at Zeitgeist 2010: How the world searched here.
