Reliance Mobile rolls out the BlackBerry Tour

Reliance Mobile will launch the BlackBerry Tour smartphone in India on Monday October 12. The BlackBerry Tour is a high-end, 3G-enabled CDMA handset with a full Qwerty keyboard and a 480 x 360 display. It will sell for Rs 27,990. Reliance is also offering two months free for its BlackBerry internet service for people who pre-order the Tour. The Tour comes in a black and chrome finish and features the following specifications: 3.2 megapixel camera with flash, image stabilisation and autofocus 256MB flash memory GPS receiver Advanced media player with full HTML web browser Stereo A2DP/AVCRP Bluetooth 3.5mm headset jack However wi-fi support is conspicuous by its absence which is a shame in a smartphone costing almost 30,000 rupees. A GSM version of the Tour is also in the pipeline, says Reliance.
