After the launch of their first Android phone LG GW620, LG has announced another Android-based smartphone LG Optimus GT540, a new phone in the upcoming LG Optimus series. The handset is the first Android-powered phone that can be upgraded to 2.1 version. It offers an easy and convenient mobile access to all the first-time smartphone users. The LG Optimus GT540 comes with a 3 inch resistive display, 114 internal memory, Android 1.6, a 3 megapixel camera, 1500mAh battery, A-GPS support, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity. With an automatically synchronized Google account, users can log on to access various applications such as Google Maps, Gtalk, Gmail and YouTube. Users can customize and expand their LG Optimus experience easily with easy access to over 30,000 downloadable games and applications from the Android market. Its improved media player enables the user to view Xvid and DivX videos. The 3 megapixel camera supports features including face-to-action technology, geo-tagging and auto face tagging for creating and sharing multimedia content from the handset.
