Mobile manufacturers like Samsung and Spice used to sell double-SIM mobile phones, and online retailers like Ebay and Rediff also sell this kind of phones in the country. Samsung is the first company to introduce the double-SIM phones in the Indian market. The court order would also enable customs officials to seize any imported mobile phones having double SIMc ards to the country. However, since launch the double-SIM mobile phones have got wide acceptance and become popular in the country due to the convenience of carrying two mobile numbers without carrying two different mobile phones.
