Opera Software has announced that its Opera Mini mobile browser is now available on the Samsung Galaxy S. However, the Opera Mini will first be preloaded in select markets during the initial phase and can be downloaded from the website by current Galaxy S users."We are very glad to provide the best mobile Internet experience to Samsung’s Galaxy S users and Opera fans in selected markets,” said Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software. "We also hope that global fans can get the chance in the near future."For free downloading, the existing Samsung Galaxy S users can visit m.opera.com with their phone’s default browser, and Opera will automatically select the public version for their phone. Also, there's another software update for the Samsung Galaxy S in the offing. A possible hint of Samsung Galaxy S getting Android 2.3 Gingerbread update was posted on the official Twitter account of Samsung India. However, the exact timeframe for the arrival of Android 2.3 on the Galaxy S has not been revealed as yet.
