Samsung launches MPower 699, world's first Open Market Handset in the Indian market

Korean telecom giant Samsung has brought world's first Open Market Handset (OMH) to the Indian market. The OMH technology gives cellphcustomers the flexibility to buy SIM cards for CDMA handsets from operators of their choice. Samsung's Mpower 699 is the world's first CDMA phones to offer this flexbility to nes  since the network settings for CDMA connection have shifted from phone to OMH SIM card. Experts believe the inclusion of OMH handsets in the ever-growing Indian market would further drive the CDMA business.
