Huawei plans to introduce Android Phone at Mobile World Congress New Delhi, 23 January Chinese telecommunications major Huawei is planning to introduce smart phones based on Google's Android software in the upcoming Mobile World Congress at Barcelona. The company has revealed this in its official posting dedicated for the Barcelona exhibition to be held next month. Though Huawei had joined the Open Handset Alliance group in December, there was no news as to when the company would bring out an Android handset or based on any other open source software. Finally, the cat is out of the bag now. At the Mobile World Congress scheduled to be held from Feb 16-19, the company plans to exhibit the first of its Android based devices. Apart from the much talked about Android phone, it will also display the worlds first HSPA "stick" and not to mention, the world's smallest wireless modem and a wireless digital photo display. However, the company has not revealed any other details about the product including price or its commercial availability.
