Coolpad Communications is the Indian joint-venture of Hong-Kong listed China Wireless Technologies Limited. The Coolpad S100 mobile phone will be distributed as well as retailed through Reliance World stores. The company plans to launch over 15 CDMA handset models in India during the current fiscal. However, the S100 model is Coolpad's first CDMA-only handset being introduced in the country. Coolpad S100 touchscreen CDMA phone boasts a fashionable body design, powerful battery backup and superior functionality. With its seamless browsing experience, Coolpad S100 can also double up as a 1x modem enabling instant connectivity to internet from a laptop computer. The Coolpad S-100 phone comes equipped with a 1.3 megapixel camera, MP3/MP4 multimedia player, FM Radio and supports USB and PC Sync.The key features of Coolpad S100 include a 2.4 inch TFT touchscreen display, 64MB NOR-Flash internal memory and T-Flash/MicroSD card up to 2GB with a card extension slot. Powered by a 900mAh Li-ion battery, the device can store up to 1000 contacts, 500 SMS and 200 call logs.Coolpad S-100 comes loaded with business apps that include E-mail, incoming call firewall and file browsing. Enabled with WAP browser, the handset offers antitheft security system, mobile tracker and hands-free function. Preloaded with Text input predictive software, the phone packs Alarm clock, world clock, calendar, calculator, memo, caller filter function, Email, photo album, photo editor, wallpaper and games.Coolpad S100 will be available in the sub-4500 price range.
