Kobian, which is among the major brands in PC peripherals, unveiled the all new Mercury D800 mobile phone. With its stylish and sophisticated looks, the phone sports a 2.2 inch touch screen display with features such as MP3 /MP4 Media player, cable-free loudspeaker FM, Micros SD(4GB) support and 1.3 megapixel camera. Mercury D800 is powered with a 4100mAh battery and offers standby time of about 60 days and talk time of about 16 hours. The device plays a dual role of being used as a mobile and desktop phone by home and SOHO users. The phonebook has a capacity of storing about 2000 addresses and enables the office users to store contact information of their clients at a single point. For home users, it replaces the cordless or landline-wired phones. Mercury D800 promises to be an asset for every home user, which can be carried along on vacations and used as a residence line too, with decreasing mobile rates. The novel product offering is available for sale in the Indian market at about Rs. 5,625 after its successful launch in Africa and MidEast.
